The Be the Best you can Be! Programme enables young people to discover and develop the unique potential within themselves and inspires, engages and empowers them to pursue and fulfil their dreams.  This unique programme has been developed as an Educational Legacy going beyond sport and far beyond the inspiration of London 2012 to inspire the youth of Britain and the rest of the world.
Paralympic wheelchair basketball player, Wendy Smith, joined us for the event. She talked to everyone in assembly about how she had overcome challenges, following a motorcycle accident when she was 17, to become one of the best wheelchair basketball players in the country. Wendy spent time with each year group, answering questions,  talking about we can all persevere and go for our goals and let some children have a go in her wheelchair. Further information on Wendy and the project is attached.
