With one third of the entries coming from past and present pupils at Mersea Island School in round 6 of the Essex Junior Squash grand prix series, it was hardly surprising to see such a haul of prizes amassed.
In the Girls Year 6 and Under section Mersea took the top three spots with Amelie in winner position without a game lost to her name, Ruby with a good runner up position and Felicity  in 3rd. Leonie  at only her second grand prix saw her points accumulated in each game reaching 9 out of 11, so close to a win and her serve so improved.

In the first of the boys year 6 and under groups George took runner up position his only loss coming to the eventual winner 2-1. Close behind was Sid  winning two of his matches for a good 3rd position finish. In the same group Hugh  tested the waters in his first competition with some good performances. In the boys 2nd group year 6 and under Aidan  took runner up spot with 3 wins out of 4 posted, Harry  taking 4th and Harvey  learning some invaluable tactics for next time in 5th place.
