Mersea pupils came out fighting at the final grand prix of the season. Rescheduled after horrific snow blizzards just 6 weeks earlier! The event being held at Lexden squash and racket club.

Hugh having been a strong contender all the way through the season in the year 4 and under category finished today in runner up spot, also bagging the overall runner up spot for the whole series and gaining himself a coaching session with Daryl Selby (Commonwealth Silver medalist 2018 and world ranked 18th), aided by Paul Allen from Lexden, to take place June 10th.

Ruby, girl's year 6 and under section today took runner up spot, by just one game in what has been a mammoth battle all season, taking overall runner up spot for the series to join Hugh in the winners circle in June.

Stanley, boys year 6 and under took a really good bronze medal position and took some games from the overall winners in his group.

George (year 5) and Henry both playing in the toughest year 6 and under group have been battling out with eventual winner all season in some hard fought battles on court. Today Henry taking silver medal and George the bronze and Henry digging his heals in for overall runner up spot and a training day with Daryl to join Ruby and Hugh. George is looking in a strong position for next year as he still has another whole year left in this age group, so overall 3rd place was a massive achievement.
