Mersea Island School squash team took a step closer to where they would like to be on Friday 15th March.
Starting the day they were laying in 2nd and 4th place in the points table (Mersea A & B team respectively), but after a great display of squash, determination and team spirit the two teams managed to climb the tables into 1st & 3rd position.

Mersea B team took on Stanway B team and with three wins out of four only dropping one point with the last player they took the win 59-26. They then moved onto Tiptree A team and again a replay of last weeks tournament when Tiptree had stronger boys but Mersea held their own with their girls, Tiptree winning two matches and Mersea winning two for the result of 39-47 to Tiptree. Mersea B suitably dented Tiptree's lead on Mersea A from round one, by stopping Tiptree from getting full marks

Mersae A team Won both their fixtures with a commanding win over Stanway B team all four players taking the win for a score of 60-8. Mersea A then took on Tiptree B team and again only dropping 1 point for a resounding 59-35 finish. This time Mersea A giving their own B team a leg up by stopping Tiptree's advance on the leaderboard.

Mersea players, Sonny, Nathan, Grace, Zara, Oscar, Kyan, Harley, Izzy and Phoebe.
Sonny, Grace and Phoebe still on an unbeaten record.

As a coach I am always extremely proud of Mersea's team spirit, manners and impeccable behaviour when out representing Mersea School.
