Grand prix number seven in the eight GP series championship saw another win for Amelie  (making her total for the season 3 wins and 3 runner-up spots) in the girls year 6 and under section. Amelie confidently dispatched the other three players 3-0 without losing a single game. This leaves Amelie and Felicity  clear ahead, out in the top two spots going into the final in June where the overall winner and runner up in each section receive a special winners training session with Ben Coleman (current world number 55) followed by a Q&A session, autographs and photos.

Henry scored his first win of the season having placed fourth at a previous meeting, a great improvement, in the boys year 6 and under yellow section. This moved him more than halfway up the overall leader table, but having only done 2 of the previous 7 competitions so far, leaves him too far off the overall championship prize. Harrison  scored a useful 3rd position, just outside a certificate with 3 out of 5 wins in the same group as Henry, placing one place better than the last competition. Aidan year 6 and under blue group scored a 3rd place finish with 3 wins out of 5, adding to his previous 6th place finish and runner-up at the last event, leaving him in 11th place in the league tables just behind George.

Mersea school again had a past and present attendance of almost 35% of the entries at the event, showing the success of the schools squash program.
