FOMISA

FOMISA - Friends of Mersea Island School Association

 

FOMISA is a very hard working and dedicated team of parents and volunteers who help support the school with raising much needed funds for the school.  All money raised goes directly towards improving resources, the learning environment and provision for our pupils. 

 

Over the last two years, FOMISA have raised enough money to purchase 16 new laptops for our IT suite, numerous ipads, outdoor all-weather clothing for our youngest pupils, class sets of dictionaries and atlases, chalks, glue sticks, outdoor learning resources, teaching easels,  a school clock together with the purchase of a new phonics reading books. FOMISA has also donated £2500 towards the refurbishment of the outdoor learning area for our Reception children, ready for September 2020. As you can see, their hard work, kindness and dedication makes such a difference to our pupils. 

 

FOMISA are always looking for people to join them.  All parents of the school automatically invited to be part of the FOMISA team.  There is a calendar of events published for the year ahead. If you are able to offer any time, even if it is to help at one of the events, please do not hesitate to get in contact. Your time and any suggestions for fundraising will always be greatly appreciated.
