Important information for prospective parents of Sept 2021 intake to Reception
Virtual Tour and Q & A session for parents of new intake for Sept 2021
Given the current situation regarding the Covid pandemic, we are very sad that we are not able to welcome you to our school and give you a tour in person. However, we are sharing a virtual tour of our lovely Reception classrooms and outdoor learning area for prospective pupils’ parents of the Reception intake for Sept 2021.
We hope this will give you a taster of our school.
In addition to this we are pleased to be
running a virtual Q & A session on the 19th November at 10am where you will be able to speak with the Reception team and ask any questions you may have. I will also be joining the meeting so that I am also available. Please contact the school office if you would like to join the meeting. Should you have anything you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Again, we sincerely wish we were able to meet with you in person and want you to know that should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school office, I am more than happy to speak with you.
We look forward to 'meeting' you.
Kind Regards

Please see below comments from parents of children in current Reception classes:
'We can’t praise the team at Mersea Island enough for their support in helping us to reach a decision on whether to send our son to school this year. We had numerous meetings and calls with the school and finally decided that it would be the right time to send him based on the support the school could offer and he has loved it. I have personally worked with many state and private schools during my career and I can honestly say that the facilities, professionalism of the staff and the love and care they have demonstrated to our son, since he started in Reception, has been exceptional.'
'I was amazed at the lengths the Reception teachers had gone to, they really had gone above and beyond to create a fun, exciting and safe environment for my child to walk into on his first day. They had also thought about us parents and despite the unprecedented times we are in, the celebrations of his first day of school were not taken from us. We were able to wave him off and spend a short time watching his first interactions.
I was reassured by their regular communications and any questions I had were answered quickly.
The staff continue to show great professionalism and care towards the children. My son was particularly anxious before starting school but the way he has quickly settled has been a great surprise but testament to his teachers and the school. Thank you'
