Winter Weather Arrangements

It is always our aim to keep our school open in times of bad weather. There may be occasions when the school has no choice but to close, in cases of heavy snow, loss of heating or running water and in other exceptional circumstances.  We will always prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our school community. 

Should there be exceptional weather or circumstances and it is deemed necessary to close the school site, you will be notified as early as possible.   All families will be informed via email and a message will be posted on the school website.  Parents/Carers are also able to look on the Emergency School Closures Page on the Essex County Council website for a list of all school closures in Essex. 

If it does snow and the school is open, please ensure your child is equipped with appropriate footwear and warm clothing as we will be going outside, spending time enjoying the experience.  

Please can you ensure you have notified the school office and your child's class teacher of any changes to your contact phone numbers and emails so that we can ensure any information is getting to you in a timely manner.
